Take-Two’s Strauss Zelnick values the PC platform, but GTA 6 still won’t launch on PC alongside consoles.

Take-Two has a longstanding practice of releasing Rockstar Games titles on PC well after they launch on consoles. This has been the case for games like GTA IV, GTA V, Red Dead Redemption, and Red Dead Redemption 2, some of which took years to make it to PC. The same pattern will continue with GTA 6, set to release on Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5 in Fall 2025, leaving PC players disappointed by the lack of a simultaneous launch.

In a recent earnings call, Take-Two’s CEO Strauss Zelnick emphasized that the PC platform is crucial and easy to support, noting it as a growing market. However, he mentioned that the company is selective about which platforms it supports for each release. Although GTA 6 will likely arrive on PC eventually, the exact timing is uncertain, following Take-Two’s track record with delayed PC releases for Rockstar games.
